Words of Hope and Faith for the Weary

The Seed Within

The Seed Within
I often speak of God’s blessing and his goodness, and in fact all the things I say about him I have experienced. God placed a dream in my heart to write, not just stories but uplifting stories that creates a longing for hope and trust in God regardless of who you are, and what you have done in your past.
Trying to fulfill God’s will for my life, I will have to say it has been a struggle along the way; but the journey has been fruitful and my faith in him grows more each day. Also, I want to stress the importance of not giving up. For myself, it has been over fifteen years since God placed within my heart a dream; at first I jumped forward trying to fulfill it by myself, not waiting on God or His direction. I failed miserably; walking away from my practice two years later.
It took me five years after I walked away to began to seek God again about my dream; this time I decided to follow his leading on my life. Even following Him, as close as I know how to, the journey is taking time. One thing is different this time, I understand patience, and his loving grace. Faithful to me, I am seeing the fruit of God’s goodness start to bloom.
I tell you this because I know many people who are searching for God’s plan for their life, and so many are discouraged. But I want you to remember, trials may come that threaten your peace, but don’t let discouragement stop you; remember God is there and will not allow you to fail. If you stay close and continue to follow his will, you will see the blessings start to flow in.
1 Corinthians 10:13 (KJV) says, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” These words have help me greatly while holding onto God through all of my trials. End the end, however, I always find out that God is there with me, nudging me on.
Not only will he not allow me to fail, he will keeps my hopes alive and helps me get closer to His call on my life each day. If you know of the saints in the bible, you know that none of them received God’s promises right away. Actually when you map out the time frame for some, it took over thirty years of trials until they stepped into God’s plan for their lives.
So many times, when I was young, religious people said, if it is from God, it will go quickly and there will be no problems. This is not so, and I see it as an attack by the god of this world, to keep me from fulfilling God’s desires for my life. I know the truth now, and want to share it with you. Ministers like Andrew Wommack, TD Jakes, Joel Osteen, Bill Winston, and others, I follow, teach God’s faithfulness and his great love; but, at the same time, they explain how I must face trials, but know that God is still there and will never leave me.
Hebrews 10:35-36 (KJV) says Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. 36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.”
I come now to think of God’s desires for me as a seed planted within my heart and mind. Each day it matures, growing lovelier each day.
