Isaiah 50:4 The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary:
Upon the journey of finding out who I am, I chose God as my source for guidance, and over the years His love helped to cure my wounded heart, and with the direction of his Holy Spirit, a new life developed within me. God put a new dream in my heart, to heal the hearts of others through words of encouragement.
In my young adult years, I spent several years in the US Air Force, later achieved a BA in Psychology and the academic level of Master’s in Business. I currently work as a professional in the insurance industry, am married and I live with my husband and sweet puppy Tomasina. Currently having two books currently published, Porcelain Doll and Treacherous Deceit, God has been true to his promise of helping me fulfill my dreams. I am currently finishing the starting of my third book, a fantasy series called “The Kingdom of the Mejuar.”
I call myself a Daughter of Sarah, and if you know who she is, you realize that she was the wife of Abraham, the father of the twelve tribes of Israel. As a daughter of Sarah, I believe in the strength of the woman, as the backbone behind all that is good and right in the world. A real caregiver, yet she posses the ability to lead, support, and influence those whom God has placed in her life, using wisdom, knowledge, and His Holy Spirit. Sarah was no slave, no puppet, and neither was she a punching bag; from all appearances, except the times he dropped his faith and thought to save his on life, it seemed Abraham, her husband, sought advice from her and showed great respect towards his wife.
A little side note, Abraham, a man that walked with God, lost his faith at times; no one is perfect.
Nevertheless, from all accounts, Sarah was truly the matriarch of the family, strong minded, yet using wisdom to provide safety for her son, Isaac, from those that would threaten to take God’s promises to him.
There are tons of religions and beliefs out there, some give glory to the almighty God, some deny him, and still others speak of how angry and terrible He is to His created beings. They suggest God feels we are nothing more than sacrificial pawns, and with his erratic, moody, behavior, we are subject to his comical whims as he moves us indifferently across this gigantic chessboard we call life.
My philosophy is, God is Good, and that is the bottom line; there is no other belief for me, where God is concerned. God has proved His love in my life, and He has supplied me with His glorious Holy Spirit to guide me along the remainder of my journey in this existence.
As a young child growing up in a religious household and community, I believed that God only wanted to keep me trapped behind walls of laws, which would eventually lead to my destruction because it was not possible for me to will my body into being what he required. I was taught as a child to glory in being poor; really, I look back now, and that was inconceivable. We ate no pork or shellfish; when I ate it school, I realized I loved it. Women were not allowed to wear pants or jewelry, and our dress was long and unattractive. Seriously, I wanted to be pretty like every other girl, and it was just no way I could not possibly please God in my shorts, and earrings. It was so hot in Florida in the summers, and of course, everyone wore gold.
The mentality that God wanted me broke, lonely, and homely, as I aged, limited my knowledge of Him, and like so many others, often, I asked myself, “why would I want to follow a God that never wants anything good for me unless I reached unattainable laws.” When He molded me into the perfect Christian, only then, I was told that He would help me through the struggles facing me as I entered adulthood. My father lost to me in my late teens, and I could never be as God required, I reserved myself to the fact that there was no sanctuary of help and guidance for me, and I had to find my own; the world was my only option.
God Is Good, and God is Love
Reaching a point in which I grew tired of, what you could call the rigorous demands upon my soul, the unfaithfulness of people, and burden of trying to be what others expected of me, I heard God calling me home; I listened. Like the prodigal son, I returned, and God accepted me.
Luk 15:21-23 “And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. 22 But the father said to his servants, bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: 23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:”
This time, however, I returned to God on my own terms and intent of learning about Him, I went on a search to find the real God. The Holy Spirit arose within me. He spoke of God’s goodness and not of some uncaring higher power, this elicited within my being a desire to read the Bible. Soon embryonic particles of belief and understanding of Jesus and the gift of his life emerged within me until I started to believe it; it was easy to follow God then. The Holy Spirit spoke of freedom from the bonds of religion; Christ released me from its clutches at the cross; He cleansed my spirit.
Jesus told us in Mat 11:28-30 “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
No longer is the performance of rituals attempting to purify our fallen natures necessary, and the Holy Spirit tucked away within our hearts, helps to share God’s goodness. We should glorify in God’s love for us, and He is faithful to His word. When we allow him, the Holy Spirit enlightens the knowledge of God’s enduring love and mercy, and for those that believe, his gifts are unfathomable. Jesus died on the cross for humanity, and for every creature upon the earth, in the waters, and in the skies. His death redeemed us from bonds of religious practices and opened a door for each of us to have our own close communion with the Holy Lord. When there is a recognition of God enduring love, we conceive that it is not His desire is to punish us when we fall off the incredibly difficult tightrope religion laid out before us.
Rom 6:14 “…….for ye are not under the law, but under grace:”
No More Doing It Alone
When the Holy Spirit guides our journeys, it is my belief that upon any path He directs us, even along the trying, turbulent ones, at the end of its course, there is good waiting from God. Blessing of health, prosperity, and friendship; remember too, since life is full of mishaps, His grace is sufficient to help you through the next situation, just up the road.
Pro 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
When we understand and develop the conviction that God is good, and He is love, only then can we turn our lives over to him, holding on to the faith that all is well in our lives and with the rest of the world. God can work miracles and often does when He receives the opportunity to display His grace for all to see.
Luk 1:37 “For with God nothing shall be impossible.”
I invite you to follow me along my journey as God provides incredible blessing in my life. It is my desire that it might impact you to believe and trust in Him, so that His grace can be upon you for the best, wiping away your tears, and smoothing out any difficulties facing you. I lacked for nothing on my journey to follow the path that God has placed before me when I gave my life over to him, and in fact, I have gained awesome blessings. I am the author of two books, and I am working on my third, a middle-grade fantasy series. My husband is wonderful and supportive, my son is fantastic, and my puppy the cutest thing ever; and for those of you who like titles, I have obtained my BA in Psychology and Masters in Business.

Two Palms to Read During Times of Distress
Psalm of David
Psa 23 “1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most Highs hall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness’ nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; 10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. 11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. 13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. 14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high because he hath known my name. 15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
